Welcome to FORMA. These terms are a plain-English agreement between you and FORMA ("we", "us") covering your use of https://formabuild.net and our apps. By using FORMA, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
FORMA is a free fitness platform: AI-assisted workout plans, an interactive muscle map, exercise guides, fitness calculators, a meal planner, and progress tracking. The core is free to use, with optional paid tiers (such as an ad-free Premium and a Coach plan). We may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Not medical or professional advice
FORMA provides general fitness and nutrition information for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, dietitian, or qualified professional. Exercise carries inherent risks. Consult a physician before starting any new exercise or nutrition program, especially if you are pregnant, have an injury, or have a medical condition. You are responsible for training safely and within your limits. Calculator results and AI-generated plans are estimates based on published formulas and your inputs, not personalized medical guidance.
3. How old you have to be
You must be at least 13 to use FORMA, and at least 16 if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, where the law sets a higher age for the kind of consent this service relies on. If you are under that age, please do not create an account.
This is not a formality. FORMA lets people send each other private photos, voice notes and video calls, and it stores information about your body and your training. Those are not things we are willing to hold for a child, and in most places we would not be permitted to.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone below the age for their country, we will delete it and everything stored with it. If you believe a child has created an account, email support@formabuild.net and we will remove it.
4. Your account
Most of FORMA works with no signup. If you create an account (for example, to save plans or use paid features), you're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and don't impersonate others.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't misuse FORMA. In particular, don't: break the law; attempt to disrupt, hack, scrape at scale, or overload the service; resell or redistribute our content or data except as our public API and license terms allow; or upload harmful or infringing content. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
6. Messages, posts and anything else you share
FORMA lets you message the people you have connected with — a friend whose code you swapped, or your coach — and post photos and short videos to a feed those same friends can see, like and comment on. There is no public feed, no follower system and no way for a stranger to reach you: someone has to be connected to you before any of it applies. You are responsible for everything you send, post or comment.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not send or post anything harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or unlawful, and do not share content you have no right to share — including photos or video of other people who have not agreed to it.
Every message, post and comment carries a Report control, and every person carries a Block control, both reachable from the content itself. We read what is reported to us and aim to act on it within 24 hours. We may remove content, restrict an account's ability to post and message, or suspend it entirely. Blocking takes effect immediately: it ends any call in progress, removes the friend connection, hides the two of you from each other everywhere in FORMA, and cannot be undone by the person you blocked re-entering your code.
Messages, posts and their attachments are stored on our servers so they can reach the people they are meant for, and are not end-to-end encrypted. Our Privacy Policy sets out what that means in practice, including what happens to reported content and what survives deleting your account.
7. Payments
Paid plans are billed either by our payment processor (Stripe) on the web, or by Apple when you buy inside the iOS app. Prices are always shown before you buy. A one-time lifetime purchase does not renew.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. If you subscribed on the web, cancel from Settings and you keep access to the end of the current billing period. If you subscribed inside the iOS app, Apple handles the billing and you cancel in your Apple Account settings — we cannot cancel or refund an Apple purchase on your behalf, and refunds are at Apple's discretion. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. The free tier remains free.
8. Affiliate links
Some pages (such as recommended gear and product roundups) contain affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend gear we believe is genuinely useful, and commissions never change our editorial picks.
9. Intellectual property
FORMA's name, design, original content, and software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the service for your own fitness. Exercise data made available through our public API is subject to the separate data license.
10. Third-party links
FORMA links to third-party sites and services we don't control. We're not responsible for their content, products, or practices. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
11. Disclaimers
FORMA is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results, calculations, or plans will meet your goals.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FORMA will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the service or reliance on its information. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which may be zero for free users).
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as FORMA evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use FORMA after changes means you accept the updated terms.
